A Little Bit About My Process

My art comes to life with my use of hot beeswax and watercolor on rice paper. My technique is a combination of the age-old practice of Fabric Batik and Encaustic medium. I layer the wax and watercolor washes to build value. In the end, I iron the wax off and the art is revealed. I preserve it under a beautiful rich mixture of beeswax and damar resin.
